Why is she hiding?

22-Female, tenacious to all hell, struggling with Japanese, but masterful with chopsticks.

I currently work as an ALT with the JET Programme on the smallest of Japan's 4 main islands, Shikoku. I live in the tiny town of Tanbara surrounded by the mountains. I teach middle school and elementary school students from 8am to 5pm everyday and spend as much of my spare time as possible roaming around Japan. I also read to much, take to many photos and enjoy to much Japanese food for my own good.
I've decided not to re-contract with JET Programme (though I really do enjoy my job and all the awesome people I've met!) because I"m getting an itch to get back into design. I graduated in 2004 from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a degree in interactive design and an emphasis on interaction design. Someday I'm going to work in the field of ubiquitous computing, but for now I'm just busy trying to hide from my students that I'm a poor speller.
All of the photos on this page were taken with my Canon Rebel (yeah canon, my favorite from back in my darkroom days!). And yes it's a nice camera, but no it doesn't do all the work, thank you very much.
